What is the SIP?
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designated ImperialCounty as in being in serious non-attainment
for Particulate Matter and in moderate non-attainment for Ozone. Therefore, they are requiring that the Imperial
County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) develop a State Implementation
Plan (SIP).This plan will outline how
the district will achieve attainment. In other words, better air quality!
